I would walk into the kitchen to eat delicious, yummy omelets. When she’d see me eating them, Mother would be so frightened!

Next, I would trot into the piano room and play my favorite exciting songs on the piano. When Dad would watch me play the piano, I would think that he would also be fooled. But Dad knew that it was me because there was no other person in the house that could play better than me!

After doing that unsuccessful trick, I would then write a wonderful, exciting, adventurous story about three girls that went on a dangerous quest since I wouldn’t have school. When my mom saw me doing this, she screamed, “There’s a magic pencil writing a story by itself with no writer!”

Dad heard Mom’s scream and rushed into the room. He spoiled the fun and told Mom that I was invisible and there was no other logical reason. “But I like being invisible!” I would say to them. I pleaded for them to let me be invisible. My parents said that I could be invisible, but asked me the maximum time I was going to be invisible. I would say, “About one day.”

Then, I strolled into my room to read an exciting and fantastic book that I love so much in my bean bag chair: The Land of Stories: A Grimm Warning”. There are tragic, depressing parts and happy, exciting parts in the book. After an hour, I decided that I wanted to have a delicious lunch so that I wasn’t going to starve when I do my reading and math books.

I had delicious and crunchy puffs for lunch, and I watched my favorite show on TV.

Then, I decided to pull another prank, so I told my parents I was going to my friend’s house.

I would ring the doorbell and then say hello to my friend, Joshua. When I reached my destination, I rang the doorbell twice so Joshua could hear me. He thought that no one was there, so I spoke, “Hello, Joshua! It is I, Kruti!

“Oh! Hello, Kruti! Wait, you’re invisible? That is so awesome!” he responded. “Anyways, welcome!”

When I got inside, Joshua and I played video games together when Dylan, Joshua’s little brother, thought that there was a ghost. I explained to Dylan that I was invisible for one day. Joshua then showed me his bedroom and his stuffed animals. After a few hours of fun and playtime, I told Joshua that I had to leave. He was disappointed to hear this, and we hugged each other tightly.

I walked out of Joshua’s house and strolled to my house to have dinner with my family. I drank milk and then skipped to the piano room to play more fun, happy songs. Then I sang Speechless and A Whole New World with my microphone. I didn’t really play that many pranks today because I don’t think it’s thoughtful.

I slept at 9:00 pm and woke up at 6:00 am. I found myself visible again. It would be the greatest day of my life.

By Kruti Patel

If I were invisible for one day, I’d first play a prank on my mother.
