The Magical Key<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Chapter 1<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cClitter clatter!\u201d was the sound I woke up to. I looked around in my bed, startled by the noise. I gazed at the floor and saw a golden, magic key that had a fascinating etching. I thought, \u201cMaybe I might go on an exciting adventure! Yes! The last time I went on an adventure was when I got to spend time with Coral, my mermaid friend.<\/p>\n

\u00a0I got up, picked up the key, and in front of my eyes formed seven mysterious, locked, magical portals. Each portal had a label above. The first one said, \u201c Fairyland\u201d, the second one said, \u201c Candy World\u201d, the third one said, \u201cIceland\u201d, the fourth one said, \u201cEmoji Island \u201d, the fifth one said, \u201cMermaid Kingdom\u201d, and the sixth one said, \u201c Home, Sweet, Home\u201d, which I knew meant that it would lead back to my house.<\/p>\n

I decided to open the first one since I would get to meet actual, real fairies! I unlocked the portal with my key, and the portal pulled me into it. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Chapter 2<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWow! This place is amazing!\u201d I yelled in astonishment. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to meet the fairies!\u201d I kept on walking until I came across a large, awesome monarchy. I knocked on the wooden door, and out came a whole bunch of fairies: blue fairies, pink fairies, purple fairies, boy fairies, teenager fairies, and girl fairies. \u201cWho are you?\u201d one said in a friendly voice. \u201cMy name is Kruti!\u201d I replied thoughtfully. \u201cWell, welcome Kruti!\u201d another fairy exclaimed. \u201cDo you want to come in?\u201d \u201cI would be delighted to!\u201d I responded.<\/p>\n

I walked inside the building and sat on a comfy chair. \u201cWe were just about to have dinner,\u201d a blue fairy said. \u201cSince you\u2019ve joined us, I guess we\u2019ll have to cook one more meal. Betsy, Petunia, come into the dining room, would you?\u201d Two fairies dressed in black clothes came into the room. Once they came in, a purple fairy said, \u201cPlease prepare a vegetarian meal for the guest, Betsy and Petunia. Make sure there\u2019s no meat or any fish in her meal,\u201d Betsy and Petunia nodded their heads and flew into the kitchen. While they were cooking my meal, the fairies and I talked about ourselves. We played games and solved riddles until Betsy and Petunia returned with a salad, veggie chips, chips and salsa, and two pancakes smothered with maple syrup and whipped cream on top of each one. \u201cWow! This is a lot of delicious, tasty food to eat!\u201d I exclaimed.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey, do you want to watch my favorite show, \u201cJust Add Magic\u201d on TV?\u201d\u00a0 \u201cYeah, whatever that show is about!\u201d a pink fairy shouted excitedly. So Petunia turned on the TV and handed me the remote control. I opened Prime Video and searched the show \u201cJust Add Magic\u201d. I clicked on the first season\u2019s first episode. The fairies and I watched the episodes and ate our scrumptious, mouth-watering food.<\/p>\n

Once the fairies and I finished, I turned off the TV and asked if I could stay with them for the night. The fairies replied, \u201cOf course, Kruti!\u201d I got my own room and brushed my teeth, wore my PJs, and hopped into my cozy bed.<\/p>\n

The next morning I ate my breakfast and got ready quickly. I told the fairies that I had to go and thanked them for their hospitality. I rushed outside of the palace and used the key to unlock Candy World. I was pulled into the portal and traveled at the speed of light.<\/p>\n

Chapter 3<\/strong><\/p>\n

I fell onto the soft, marshmallow ground of Candy World. There were pink, cotton candy clouds and lollipop trees. I stood up and looked around. \u201cWow! Everything here is edible!\u201d I exclaimed to myself. I wandered about, exploring the eatable world. Suddenly, I met a twelvish candy boy. \u201cWho are you?\u201d he asked kindly. \u201cI am Kruti! What\u2019s your name?\u201d \u201cWell, my name is Gummy!\u201d the boy replied replied. \u201cDo you want to come to my house and have lunch with my family? It looks like it will rain gumdrops and marshmallows soon,\u201d\u00a0 \u201cI would like that very much!\u201d I said mannerly.<\/p>\n

So Gummy led me to his Sour Patch house. \u201cI beg your pardon, but are you\u2026edible?\u201d I questioned him as we journeyed to Gummy\u2019s house. Gummy replied mockingly, \u201cOf course I\u2019m edible! Everything in this world is eatable, even the citizens! Wait, are you going to eat me?\u201d \u201cPfff! No way, I\u2019m not going to eat you! Now why would I eat you? I laughed. \u201cEvery time a human comes here, they eat us. Long ago, our population used to be 99,999 citizens, but now there are only 2,222 citizens left.\u201d he explained. \u201cI feel sorry for the candy people living here.\u201d I said sadly.<\/p>\n

Finally, Gummy and I reached our destination. \u201cGummy, may I tell you something?\u201d I asked him as he rang the doorbell. He nodded his head slightly. \u201cI don\u2019t actually like candy.\u201d \u201cWhat? But\u2026but everybody goes crazy when they see it!\u201d Gummy replied, surprised. \u201cWell, I\u2019m not that kind of person at all.\u201d I said.<\/p>\n

Out came a young lady with a beautiful dress and an elegant hair-do. \u201cHello, Gummy! Do you want lollipops or-AAAAAAH! Gummy, why did you bring a human to our house? Quick, we\u2019ve got to call the candy patrol!\u201d she screamed. \u201cSorry, it\u2019s just that my mom freaks out when she sees a human because\u2026one human ate my dad.\u201d \u201cI\u2019m dialing 911 this instant. Gummy, you\u2019re grounded, and as for you young lady-\u201d \u201cWhoa, whoa, whoa, you\u2019ve got me all wrong here. My name is Kruti, and I-\u201d I answered, but was interrupted by the worried lady.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, yeah, thanks for the information, Kruti.\u201d Gummy\u2019s mom said. \u201cListen, Gummy, the police are coming in five minutes. Make sure that you lock her up in a safe place so she won\u2019t escape, OK?\u201d \u201cYes, Mother.\u201d he obeyed.<\/p>\n

I whispered to Gummy, \u201cDon\u2019t do it, please?\u201d \u201cDon\u2019t worry, I won\u2019t lock you up!\u201d Gummy replied quietly. He led me upstairs to the bathroom and told me to lock the door so nobody would be able to come in. I thanked him for his help, and I did what he instructed me to do.<\/p>\n

The police came, and I grasped the key tightly. I decided that this was a great time to unlock the third portal, which would lead to a cold, icy place. I thought to myself, \u201cIt\u2019s better than being in candy jail!\u201d So I used the key to unlock the portal to Iceland. I was then pulled into the icy, cold world.<\/p>\n

Chapter 4<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWow, it\u2019s warm here. I was expecting it to be cold because of the name!\u201d I exclaimed. But I discovered that it wasn\u2019t warm. It was just me, because I wore a warm, comfortable coat, furry snowshoes, and a fuzzy, cozy hat on top of my head. The land was lifeless, and there were no penguins, seals, or people at all. \u201cUgh, this is literally the most boring place. I thought it was going to be exciting here. Goodbye, boring Iceland!\u201d I used the key and unlocked the portal to Emoji Land. I was pulled into the portal.<\/p>\n

Chapter 5<\/strong><\/p>\n

I sat on an island that had so many emojis. Some were unicorns, and others were horses. There were mostly happy, sad, angry, and pleading emojis on the awesome island. \u201cI think I might stay here for a while and hang out with an emoji or two.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHey, want to hang out?\u201d I asked a smiling emoji. \u201cSure! My name\u2019s Happy! What\u2019s your name?\u201d\u00a0 \u201cMy name is Kruti!\u201d I replied. We first licked vanilla ice cream. Next, Happy and I ate delicious spaghetti with tomato sauce. We talked as we walked on the huge island. Finally, I had to say goodbye to my friend. \u201cI\u2019ll never forget you, Happy!\u201d I exclaimed. I used the key to unlock the last and final fantasy world I would visit: Mermaid Kingdom. I was pulled into the portal and sent to Mermaid Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Chapter 6<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was swimming in the ocean, but I suddenly remembered that I couldn\u2019t breathe underwater. I didn\u2019t have the strength to swim to shore, so I fainted. I woke up in a large palace, surrounded by mermaids and mermen. I realized that I had a mermaid tail. \u201cAre you okay?\u201d one mermaid asked. \u201cHumans should be careful these days,\u201d another one said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks for saving my life! I could\u2019ve drowned and died if it weren\u2019t for you! Could I spend some quality time with Coral? I\u2019ve waited so long to see her! Where is she, anyway?\u201d I questioned curiously. \u201cHere I am! Kruti, you\u2019re back! I\u2019ve missed you so much!\u201d Coral exclaimed. \u201cDo you want to watch more horror movies with my sisters and me while eating seacorn?\u201d\u00a0 \u201cThat would be delightful!\u201d I replied excitedly.<\/p>\n

So Coral, her sisters, and I watched movies while eating delicious seacorn. (By the way, seacorn is a snack that is just like popcorn, only under the sea!). After the horror movies, Coral, her sisters, and I played a board game called, \u201cMernopoly\u201d and the video game, \u201cSuper Mario\u201d.<\/p>\n

I told them that I was vegetarian. Coral said she\u2019d be right back. She asked the chef if he could prepare a vegetarian meal. Coral came into the room, and we played with dolls. Then we heard a sound that went \u201cDing, ding, ding!\u201d \u201cOh, that sound means it is dinnertime! Come on, sisters! Come on, Kruti!\u201d Coral, her sisters, and I rushed to have dinner.<\/p>\n

There was roast beef, turkey, pumpkin pie, vanilla cupcakes, pizza, cucumbers, carrots, seaweed, fish, onions, garlic, seanut butter and jelly sandwiches, corn, french fries, and seanuts. Coral, her sisters, her parents, and I ate the delicious food. Once dinner was over, I told Coral that I had to go back to my house. She and her sisters said they would miss me. I hugged them tightly, and I used the key to unlock the portal that led to my house. I was pulled into the portal, and I sat on the floor of my bedroom.<\/p>\n

Chapter 7<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWow! I visited so many fantasy worlds, especially my mermaid friend\u2019s home again,\u201d I thought to myself. \u201cI think I\u2019m going to just lie down and\u2026read\u2026a\u2026book\u2026\u201d\u00a0 I was woken by the sudden shout of my name. \u201cWake up, Kruti, wake up!\u201d my dad exclaimed. \u201cYou have to eat breakfast!\u201d \u201cHello, Dad! I traveled to different fantasy worlds with just one magic key! Here it is!\u201d I explained, holding out my hand.<\/p>\n

To my surprise, it was empty! \u201cWhere\u2026where did it go? I swear that I went to fantasy worlds, I swear!\u201d \u201cOkay, Kruti! I still believe that you went to fantasy worlds because I found that same key when I was about the same age as you.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cWow! That\u2019s awesome, Dad! But I\u2019m not hungry! I just had dinner with mermaids!\u201d\u00a0 \u201cOkay, Kruti! I\u2019ll just tell Mom that you\u2019re not hungry anymore because you ate dinner with mermaids. I don\u2019t think she\u2019ll believe your adventure, but maybe the key might be hiding in our bedroom. Maybe that\u2019s why you can\u2019t find it. I can\u2019t wait to hear about her adventure to different worlds if she does go.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cI hope she\u2019ll have a great time, just like me. Who knows? Maybe someday she\u2019ll have the greatest adventure of her life. I know I did!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
