Do you like amazing books? Then this is the right book for you!!!

Mr. Popper’s Penguins a book about a man named Mr. Popper. He lives with his two children and wife and is a house painter. After writing a letter to Admiral Drake, a famous explorer, a mysterious package arrives at his door. A penguin! Mr. Popper names it Captain Cook. The family puts the penguin in the icebox and hires a service man to poke holes in the icebox and put an extra handle on the inside.

One day, Captain Cook isn’t that gay and cheery as he used to be. He gets a high temperature and is very ill. Mr. Popper receives another penguin. The family names it Greta, and soon, there are more penguins! Captain Cook and Greta have 10 eggs, and they all hatch, leaving 12 penguins in all! Mr. Popper starts his own act to get more money for the family. They have to move around from theater to theater to have the penguins perform. I’m not going to spoil the ending for you. But I will tell you one thing: Mr. Popper becomes an explorer at the end of the book.

This is a humorous and amazing book! I love it! I recommend it for ages 8-12 and those who like penguins and other animals. This book is written by Florence and Richard Atwater. So what are you waiting for?
