In 1861, the very first commercial pretzel bakery, Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery, was opened in America by Julius Sturgis.  They are still making soft pretzels at the bakery.  We got a hands-on lesson in twisting pretzels at the bakery.  Kruti ate delicious, freshly made soft pretzels at the bakery.  Kruti had a blast making and eating pretzels at the bakery.
