Tasty Gujarati Vaghareli Khichdi Made by Jaimi!!!

An organic pancharatna dal(Five Jewel lentils) contains chana daal(bengal gram), toor daal(pigeon peas), mung daal, masoor daal(red lentils), and urad daal(black lentils).

Vaghareli Khichdi(Vaghar is a Gujarati word for tempering in English) is a popular comfort food in Gujarat, India.  It’s made of rice, dal, ghee, and different spices.  Curry leaves and ghee adds a fantastic flavor to khichdi.  This one-pot meal is healthy and can be served as a dinner or a lunch.

Ingredients: cumin seeds, oil, clarified butter, rice, mixed lentils, curry leaves, turmeric powder, water, salt to taste, and pigeon peas.  Red chili powder, coriander powder, and garlic are optional.
