Ingredients to make Orange Cake are 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1.5 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 cup granulated sugar, 2/3 cup olive oil, 4 eggs, and 4 naval oranges.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350° F. Take any baking cake pan and coat with nonstick spray.
- Mix the dry ingredients. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Whisk it until all ingredients well combined.
- Mix the wet ingredients. Pour the olive oil into the bowl. Crack the eggs into a small mixing bowl, fish out any shell bits, then pour into the olive oil bowl. Combine it well. Then pour the mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Mix it well until it beat well.
- Add the orange zest. Zest 4 oranges with a grater. Measure 2 tablespoon of zest and added to mixing bowl.
- Add the orange juice. Cut the 4 oranges in half and squeeze out the juice. Pour about 1 cup orange juice into a mixing bowl. mix the orange juice and zest into the batter with the whisk until well combined.
- Bake the cake and let it cool. Pour the cake batter into the baking cake pan. Bake for 30 or 35 minute, or until when a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Then let it cool.
- Once the cake is cool completely. Sprinkle remaining orange zest on top.
- Then serve it.
