Yummy Dudhi Thepla Made by Jaimi!!!

Ingredients to make Dudhi Thepla are 2.5 cups whole wheat flour, 2 cups grated dudhi, 2 teaspoon of ginger grated, 2 teaspoon of turbinado sugar, 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon of red chilli powder, salt to taste, and 2 tablespoon of sunflower oil + more for frying.  

Instructions

  1. Making the dough. Take whole wheat flour, grated dudhi, and grated ginger in a bowl.  
  2. Add turmeric power, chilli powder, turbinado sugar, salt, and oil.
  3. Mix it well using your hands.
  4. Start kneading the dough until it becomes smooth and soft. Note: Add water if needed to knead the dough.  It all depends on the content of the dudhi you are using.  
  5. Making dudhi thepla recipe. Make round balls using your hands.
  6. Take one ball at a time and flatten it between your palms.  Apply oil in your palm if necessary.  Now using a roller pin, roll it into circle. 
  7. Heat the non stick pan on medium heat. Put rolled thepla on the pan.
  8. Fry both sides using about 1 tablespoon of oil till they become golden brown.
  9. Remove it from the pan and place it on the plate.
  10. Repeat the same process for the rest.
