“Ring, ring!!!” the jingle bell ornament rings. We decorated our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving. I colored gingerbread ornaments and decorated them with gems, jingle bells, pipe cleaners, bows, paint markers, and pom-poms. We hung all kinds of ornaments- ballerinas with their fluffy skirts, gingerbread men, women, grannies, grandpas, and children, reindeer soaring in the sky, white snowmen, mittens, and gifts. I hung my stocking over the fireplace, too.
Below the Christmas tree, I placed a girl elf with a hat, who was sitting on a present holding up the word “NICE”. I also put a wooden house with a person making a snowball under the tree. I placed Santa driving in his sleigh, Charlie Brown in a Christmas tree shop, a Mickey Mouse snow globe, and a light-up snowman. It looked just like a Christmas display!
My dad and mom helped, too. The high limbs of the tree that I couldn’t reach were decorated by my mom and dad. My dad handled the finishing touch: the star. Before he placed the star on top of the tree, I decorated it with gems. My dad placed it on top of the tree when I was done, and then he switched the Christmas lights on the tree. The Christmas tree looked bright and shiny with the glistening lights. The funny part was when the gems on the star on the Christmas tree kept falling off.
I had a great time decorating and making ornaments!
