Ingredients to make Sev Khamani are chana dal, water, coarsely crushed green chillies, turmeric powder, salt, sunflower oil, mustard seeds, coconut sugar, curry leaves, lime juice, cilantro leaves, grated fresh coconut, sev, and finely chopped cilantro leaves to sprinkle.
Gujarati Sev Khamani or Amiri Khaman are dhokla that are crumbled, tempered with mustard seeds and served with sev, freshly grated coconut, cilantro leaves, and pomegranate seeds. It’s optional to serve it with green cilantro chutney which brings more flavor to the dish. Sev Khamani is a very popular all-time favorite snack from Gujarati cuisine. Note: Add sugar and spices according to your taste preferences and taste buds. For the fine crumbly texture of the khaman use any grater. Garnish sev khamani with pomegranate seeds and more cilantro leaves to enhance the flavor of it.
