Let’s start off with this question: have you ever heard of a UDM? Oh, of course not. A UDM is someone who has wonky, upside down magic. What does this have to do with the book? Good question! There’s a girl nicknamed Nory, and she has upside down magic. This is her problem: whenever she turns into an animal as a fluxer, she can’t stay in that form. Sometimes, she turns into a dritten- a dragon and a kitten- or a koat- a kitten and a goat. She wanted to go to Sage Academy, but she was not accepted because of her wonky magic.

Instead, Nory was enrolled in a school for UDM’s like her! Some were upside down fliers, those who fly, and others were upside down flares, those who can produce fire from their very fingertips. She embarrasses herself in the playground when turning into a skunkelepant and spraying some skunk spray at Elliot, an upside down flare, and his so-called ‘friends’. Will Nory ever learn to do her magic right? Read the book to find out!

I love this book! It’s so amazing and wonderful, and I was addicted to it. It was as if my eyes were glued to the pages! It’s a magnificent fantasy book and brings you into the world of magic. In conclusion, this book is the best choice if you’re a Sarah Mlynowski fan!
