An Unforgettable Easter Egg Hunt!

Do you love magical tales? Well, for this one, I’m not kidding! I actually went on my first magical Easter Egg Hunt!!! And was it remarkable? Let me tell you!

I was outside in my backyard, looking for Easter eggs. I found some that my mom hid in the garden, and my cousin found a few in the garage. I always feel like they’re lurking somewhere, but sometimes not found. 

I suddenly heard something in the distance. “Crack, crack, crack!” it crunched. If it was a robber, it probably wasn’t an expert! Plus, it seemed doubtful that a robber would come in the middle of daytime. I rushed over to the scrunching noise, and then I gazed at the Easter Bunny, nibbling all of our carrots we had grown! “Hey!” I exclaimed. “Don’t eat our carrots! We grew those last week!” Come on! Now I can’t even bake carrot cake with my mom!

I couldn’t believe my eyes, though. Even though I was angry at the bunny for eating all the carrots. “Can you please stop eating the carrots?” I asked. “You’ll have to catch me first!” he shouted, and he hopped away. I chased after him, narrowly avoiding trash cans, stray cats, and cars. 

I suddenly noticed that he had my basket of Easter eggs, and I didn’t even know that he took it. “You get back here! I want my Easter eggs!” I screamed. People were getting out of their homes and shouting, “Look! It’s the Easter Bunny!” The Easter Bunny vanished out of sight, and I sighed. “Well, I guess I won’t win the Easter egg competition. Again.”
