The Burrow of Fairies
Yawn! I open my drowsy eyes and I am panicking. “What in the world? Why am I here?” I think this is a dream, but when I pinch myself to see if I’m not really in a burrow, I yell, “Ow!” I know this isn’t a dream.
I look around in the burrow. There’s not much, just a few tiny chairs and tiny desks…wait, what? Who needs tiny furniture? Gasp! Only one person…fairies! I know, I know, you may be laughing at me. But I am positive that this burrow belongs to fairies.
I see a fairy approaching me, and she says in a friendly and safe voice, “Hello!” The fairy doesn’t look destructive, and she says, “Are you famished? You look like it!” “I am, actually!” I reply. This fairy seems very nice, so I ask her, “What kinds of food do you have?” She doesn’t reply and instead flies into a gigantic house filled with delicious treats.
I happily reach for a sandwich, vanilla cake, and a lemon cookie. Mmm! It’s so tasty! All of the flavors mix and form a delicious snack. Then the fairy generously shows me to a comfortable room. We talk about a bunch of stuff. Our conversation pretty much is going like this:
“So what is this place?” I ask.
“This is the Fairy Town!” the fairy answers.
“What’s your name?”
“I’m Carla!” the fairy replies happily.
“My name’s Kate!” I say, delighted at her wonderful name.
“Great name!” Carla exclaims. “I do love Rose’s, but I’m more of a Kate fan!”
“Okay…?” I stammer, confused.
The conversation goes on and on until it is time for dinner. “Alright, kids, come to dinner!” Carla says. Kids? I wonder. Soon I find out.
“You have children, Carla?” I ask her at dinner. “Yes, but everyone’s gonna hibernate next week for winter,” she replies. “Cool!” I answer. We eat a delicious dinner, and I play with the kids.
I will forecast a plan to go back to my house, I say to myself. When it’s bedtime, I tuck myself in and sleep.
I wake up and get ready. I tell Carla that I need to go home. She makes a portal for me, and I think, Finally! My days here have ceased. I jump in the portal and come back home. I have an awesome adventure, and I hope I go on another one soon!
