Tuck Everlasting is about a girl named Winnie Foster. She’s an only child and is tired of being watched by her family members. One day, she runs away and meets the Tuck family. The Tuck family tells their story of how they drank water from a spring in the wood and got immortality. The Tuck family and Winnie start living together and become friends. It seems like everything is going great!

One day, the Tuck family’s horse is stolen. It is stolen by a man with a yellow jacket. He goes to Winnie’s house and tells the Foster family how he saw Winnie being “taken away” by the Tuck family. He also knows that the spring contains water that gives you immortality, but he doesn’t tell the Foster family. The man says that if he gives Winnie to the Foster family, they’ll have to give the wood that they own to him.

The man arrives at the Tuck’s house and says that he needs the girl, Winnie. The mother pulls out a gun and accidentally shoots the man. The constable, unfortunately, comes and sees the man dead and the mother. The constable says that the mother will get hung if the man doesn’t last. The only problem is, the mother is immortal. She can’t die. What will happen next?!

This is an exciting book! It’s excellently written and is flawless in both style and structure. I would recommend it to ages 9 and up. It takes place in an older setting, like maybe the 1870s or something, but it is still enjoyed by many children! So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and read this adventurous book, Tuck Everlasting!!!
