Kruti Enjoyed a Fun-Filled Halloween Celebration on October 29, 2021!!!

This year, for Halloween, I dressed up as Cleopatra. In case you didn’t know, Cleopatra was the last active ruler of Egypt. She often thought of herself as a divine goddess, however. The costume came with a white dress with a golden and blue belt, a crown-like band with lustrous beads dangling from it that you wear on the forehead, and a cyan cloak-like thing. (I don’t really know what it is, but it’s like a cape or cloak.)

In school, I celebrated Halloween. We played two games: Pictionary and our own invented game, Silent Ball. Silent Ball is a game in which you have to throw the ball around to other players. During the game, there are catches, including having to catch the ball with one hand or while standing on one foot. Sometimes it can be both of those things. We presented our math reports during math class, and in ELA, we played The Unfair Game. It’s also a suspenseful game in which we check our vocabulary answers.

In The Unfair Game, you have to answer at least one question from the vocabulary book correct so you can pull from a special cauldron. Depending on the card you choose, it alters your score. The team who wins gets to choose whether each individual would like either extra credit or candy. Our team won, so I chose extra credit. Plus, we already had a lot of candy from the gifts.

Instead of gobbling pieces of candy into our mouths, We had to give it to the lower school kids. It was like a mini trick-or-treating parade of little kids. We had a fun Halloween party in the classroom, so that’s fair. In the Halloween party, we played an online game called Gartic Phone. It’s a game in which you first say a word or phrase, guess other people’s drawings, and create your own drawings based on the words or phrase(s) you get.

Even though we didn’t get to make slime in science class as was promised, it was still a marvelous day since we got to watch a video about parasites taking control of insects! I had a convivial Halloween on that day!
