Today, I had my fifth session with Girl Scouts. It was fun to be there since we got to make papers with stickers and magazines about ourselves. The person who talked together was a woman who is the CEO of a Girl Scouts troop, I’m pretty sure.
First, I arrived a bit late today, but I didn’t miss anything except for the break before the discussion begins. I sat next to my friend Vedanti again, but two of my old classmates from my school, Emily and Elena, came today as well. Next, Josephine started the interview and asked questions about the CEO’s experience during her Girl Scouts and how she is as a leader.
The CEO explained that she felt scared sometimes to try something new during Girl Scouts. For example, one time she had to go on a canoe ride, but she felt scared about drowning or the rapids going faster. But luckily, nothing happened, and it was actually fun for her. Other people shared their experiences on how they came to love doing what they do now, like different activities. I shared my experience about the piano, and others were talking about sports and other things as well.
Then we made papers that described ourselves and our personalities. The papers also encouraged us to try new things. I put my name and had many things that I liked and supported as well as some inspirations, like “Different is cool!” Lastly, we took a group photo with our papers, and then we had our raffle. I didn’t win anything, but my friend, Vedanti, won the grand prize, and my friend, Emily, won one of the small prizes. Next time is the last session. It will be sad to leave the Girl Scout Empow”HER” Session, but I am glad I actually came. But I enjoyed today, and hopefully, I will enjoy the next session for the last time this year.
