Matar Kulcha is one of the most famous Indian street food in Delhi. It is a healthy, simple, and vegetarian dish made of dried white peas served with an Indian flatbread called kulcha. Matar Kulcha can be eaten with roti or puri if kulcha is not readily available. This dish can be decadent and an excellent source of plant-based protein. Also, oil-free dish and tasty too. Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried white peas
  • salt to taste
  • 4 cloves
  • 3 cups water
  • other ingredients
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 2 tbsp tamarind pulp
  • salt to taste
  • 2 green chilies sliced and deseeded
  • 1 tbsp ginger peeled and cut into thin strips
  • ingredients for garnish
  • ½ cup chopped red onion
  • ½ cup finely chopped vine tomatoes
  • a handful of finely chopped cilantro
