Bhavnagari Gathiya

Gathiya – is one of the most popular and all-time Gujarati snacks.  This deep-fried, savory, and crunchy snack is prepared with besan and some mild spices.  This tea-time snack becomes more enjoyable and perfect when it has gathiya and jalebi.  Loved by Gujarati generations and gained fame in the whole world. It has a long shelf life, so you can munch them for a month.

Ingredients

  • 2½ cups gram flour
  • 1 tsp crushed black pepper
  • 1 tsp carom seeds
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ sunflower oil
  • ½ tsp papad khar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • sunflower oil for deep frying
