Ingredients to make Gajar Halwa are carrots, cashews, golden raisins, milk, cardamom powder, almond flour, sugar, and ghee.
Ingredients
- 5 cups grated carrots
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1 TSP cardamom powder
- 3 TBSP ghee
- 2 TBSP sliced almonds or cashews
- 2 TBSP golden raisins
Instructions
- Add ghee and grated carrots to a non stick pan. Stir it.
- Let it cook for couple of minutes.
- Add milk and let it cook for about the carrots are well cooked and there would not be any liquid.
- Add cardamom powder, sugar, golden raisins, and almond flour. Mix it well with the carrots.
- Let it cook for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Turn off the stove and garnish it with sliced almonds.
