Upside Down Magic: Weather or Not Book Review by Kruti!!!

Do you love magical books? Do you want your eyes to be glued to the pages and not read a boring novel with NOTHING fun about it? Then this is a great book choice for you.

Upside Down Magic: Weather or Not is written by the authors Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Myracle, and Emily Jenkins. I wasn’t surprised that this book was excellent. I mean, Sarah Mlynowski nailed her Whatever After series and still does! In Upside Down Magic: Weather or Not, a girl named Nory has Upside Down Magic. Her magic doesn’t apply to any of the five F’s: flares, Fuzzies, Fluxers, Fliers, and Flickers. What I mean by that is that Nory is an Upside Down Fluxer. Usual Fluxers can turn into animals, but Nory can be an animal, but then she adds in another one. For example, she once turned into a skunkephant (skunk and elephant), and another time, a squippy (squid and puppy).

When Nory failed the Big Test at Sage Academy, she was sent to Dunwiddle School to learn how to control her Upside Down Magic with other UDM’s, including Andres, an Upside Down Flier. Bing Day, the most important holiday for the town of Dunwiddle, is coming up, and the UDM’s are preparing to make posters. They are in groups, but Willa, an Upside Down Flare, gets partnered up with Nory. They’re both not glad about it. Nory thinks Willa is a crybaby, and Willa thinks that Nory is very bossy. Will they be able to settle their problems, or will they not be able to figure out a solution? Read the book to find out!

I loved this book! The cover was shiny and appealing to the eye, but the inside is even better! When I read the summary on the back of the cover of the book, I wanted to find out what happened in the story. The plot was perfect, and the characters and setting were absolutely marvelous! Zamboozle! Oh, was I addicted to the book! I couldn’t stop reading it because it was so interesting! I flipped page after page, and when I would say in my head, “Okay, that’s enough for today!” and would see a cliffhanger in the chapter, I would think, “Oh! I guess I can read a little more!” In conclusion, this would be a great book choice for fiction lovers, and I suggest that you list the name of this book on your reading list!
