Ingredients to make oats cookies are 1 cup 7 grain flour, 1 cup rolled oats old fashioned, 1/2 TSP baking powder, 1 TSP cardamom powder, 1 TSP cinnamon powder, 1/4 TSP salt, 1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature, 1/2 cup coconut sugar, 3 TBSP milk, and 1/4 cup chopped almonds.
Instructions
- Preheat oven at 350 F degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Take a large bowl, add flour, rolled oats, baking powder, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, and salt. Mix everything until well combined. Set this aside.
- In a separate bowl; combine butter and sugar. Whisk the butter and sugar until well combined.
- Then add milk and mix until combined.
- Add in the flour-oats mixture. Mix until it all combines together. Then add in the nuts.
- Mix after adding the nuts. The dough will be wet and sticky.
- Take a small portion from the dough and roll to form a round shape. Then press it between your palms to flatten it and make a circle. Repeat with remaining dough and make all the cookies similarly.
- Arrange all the cookies on the prepared baking sheet. Bake cookies at 350 F degrees for about 20 to 25 minutes. I baked cookies for about 25 minutes for crispier edges.
- Remove oats cookies from the baking sheet and place them on a cooling rack to cool completely.
- Enjoy with a glass of milk or coffee or tea!
Note: You can also add raisins, pumpkin seeds, chocolate chip, dried cranberries, or chopped cashews to these cookies. Adjust sugar according to your taste preference.
