The Lemonade War is a funny book written by Jacqueline Davies, and it’s the first book out of the whole series. This book is about two siblings named Evan and Jessie. They used to get along very well, but when their dad left them, Evan and Jessie stopped having fun with each other, and nothing was ever the same. When Evan starts a lemonade stand without Jessie included, she starts her own lemonade stand, and the war begins! They agree that the winner of the war, who has to earn at least one hundred dollars by this Sunday, gets all of the loser’s money. Who will win: Evan, the people-smart one, or Jessie, the walking calculator? Read the book to find out!

I love the book’s cover and how it shows a glass of lemonade, but I especially love how the author made this book to entertain the reader and to inform them more about finance, franchises, and how to run a business, especially a lemonade stand, of their own. I even learned some things from this book, including how to plan out a business, what you’re going to sell, and how much each item will cost. It all has to deal with math!

In conclusion, make sure to read this book because it’s really “hot”! Get it?
