Are you interested in finding a new book to read? I have a magnificent book suggestion that will absolutely blow your mind!
Ramona’s World is a book about a girl named Ramona. Ever since her baby sister, Roberta, was born, Ramona has been feeling like she’s in the middle instead of being the youngest person in the family. She has a new best friend named Daisy, who’s really kind and thoughtful. Ramona is in the fourth grade now, and her teacher for fourth grade is Mrs. Meacham.
Mrs. Meacham is a teacher who focuses on students’ spelling and vocabulary. In fact, she concentrates so much on the pupils’ spelling that she even has a list of words the students misspelled only once, twice, or more, for them to work on and improve. The fourth grade teacher collects notes that students send to each other. When Yard Ape tries to send a note to Ramona secretly, Mrs. Meacham collects it.
Picture day. What could go wrong on this fine day? Everything, actually. When Ramona is asked to say, “Peas!” for her picture, she scrunches up her face. Now, she’ll be humiliated. Ramona scrunches up her face because once, when she was trying to feed Roberta peas, Roberta made a mess and even threw some on Ramona.
On Ramona’s special 10th birthday, Mrs. Quimby, Ramona’s mother, and Ramona plan on inviting friends to celebrate the birthday at the park. When Susan, Ramona’s longtime enemy at school, confesses that it’s hard to be perfect every minute and is a bit jealous of Ramona, everyone at the party, including Ramona, feels sorry for Susan. When Mrs. Quimby says that you can’t be perfect every minute of your life, that cheers Susan up. They all go to the bars on the playground after finishing their slices of cake. The boys and Yard Ape, who are also at the park, grab some slices of cake and finish it off. The day couldn’t be any better.
This book was written by the famous author, Beverly Cleary. I absolutely love this book and recommend reading it at least twice to picture everything that is happening. In conclusion, you should definitely buy this book. Trust me, it will be worth it.
