“The Last Kids on Earth” Book Review by Kruti!!!

Do you love adventure? Do you love monsters? This book is a combination of adventure and monsters and will be just right for you!

The Last Kids on Earth is a book about a boy named Jack Sullivan, a thirteen year old who is an orphan. After the apocalypse, a lot of things change. He lives in a treehouse, and every day, he has to fight zombies and/or monsters just to make his way to some place. One day, after speaking into his side of the walkie-talkie, his best friend, Quint, answers.

Jack and Quint meet at the tree house, and soon, they see a pterodactyl-like creature. Their enemy at school, Dirk, rescues them and decides to be friends with Jack and Quint. Jack gets the idea to go look for June, his crush, and so they look inside their old middle school, which is now destroyed and filled with zombies. Jack, Quint, and Dirk see June, and Jack finally convinces June to come back with them to the treehouse.

Jack, Quint, June, and Dirk see a monster, which Jack named Blarg because of the sound it makes. They all work together to fight it, and in the end, all is well. For now….

This book is an excellent and humorous book! It was so outstanding that even Jeff Kinney, author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, wrote a review on it! What I love the most, however, is that one of the themes of this book is teamwork, because the four kids work together to defeat monsters and fight zombies. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and read The Last Kids on Earth!
