“Flip! Flip!” You flip through the pages of your book. Almost there…done!!! You look at your “mini library.” You can’t decide on which book to read. If you are having a situation like this, please consider reading this book!
The Last Kids on Earth and the Zombie Parade is a quirky and adventurous book about an orphan named Jack Sullivan, who lives with his friends, Quint, Dirk, and June, in a treehouse. They fight monsters and soon start making a bestiary about the different kinds. See, these children are the last kids on Earth-at least, that’s what they know of-and they are there during the apocalypse. Jack starts noticing something strange: there are less zombie sightings than there were before. The team starts investigating once they hear a shrieking sound that seems to be luring the zombies to somewhere-where they get their brains removed.
They meet a monster who saves them-ironic, isn’t it? a monster who saves people?-and he invites the group to Joe’s Pizza. Jack and his friends meet a lot of monsters at the pizza place, including Bardle, a wise, kind monster. The monster who saved Jack and his friends-his name is Thrull-gives them a bestiary for them to fill in entries about monsters with the essences of the monsters. (For example, a drop of their sweat, a hair, etc.) Who is the one who is causing the zombies to disappear? And will Jack and his friends crack the case? (Let’s hope so before things get any worse…)
Filled with fun, adventure, and humor, this book is your go-to story when in search of an outstanding tale to have your eyes peer at! What I really loved about this book was the narration of it! I loved how Jack really showed his quirkiness and funniness through this book. Although it may have been a bit too quirky-just kidding! there’s never too much humor in this book!!! In conclusion, I suggest you read the book immediately because you do not want to miss out on this book!!
