Do you want to read an exciting and fun-filled book? Do you love monsters? Do you love zombies? Then this is the right book for you!
The Last Kids on Earth and the Skeleton Road is a book about a kid named Jack Sullivan who, with his buddies June, Quint, and Dirk, lives an unusual life during the post-apocalypse. They discover that Thrull, a monster enemy, is planning on building a tower to bring Rezzoch, the ancient destroyer of worlds, to Earth. The group decides that it’s time to leave Wakefield and try and find out where the Tower is. To do that, they have to journey to an outpost. Road trip!
The group travels in their upgraded Big Mama, an awesome vehicle that now has a zombie trailer and a hangout RV! Oh yeah, did I not mention that Jack has a zombie army made of three zombies and can control them with his Louisville Slicer? Sounds cool, right? As they travel to the Outpost, they have some fun by stopping by some sites, like a place with items that would usually be small, but are big! It’s the same the other way around!
Having to protect themselves with all of their goo-slime for killing Vine-Thingies, they soon find the Outpost. They meet someone named Ryyk who will help them find the Tower. Jack offers that he would give his Slicer to Ryyk if Ryyk tells them where the Tower is. The Tower is at the Statue of Liberty, and Jack and his friends are shocked. They know that there are more survivors out there, and they are located at the Statue of Liberty! The group travels to a place called Aqua City to retrieve a substance that will be able to kill the Vine-Thingies. Will they be able to get the concoction, or will they die in the process?
This is an excellent book! I recommend it for ages 9-12 and to fans of fantasy and adventure. If you like bone-rattling zombies or skeletons, then this book might be adequate enough for you! Along with comical humor and illustrations, this book features an adventurous plot! What are you waiting for? Go ahead and read The Last Kids on Earth and the Skeleton Road!!!
