Love Sugar Magic: A Mixture of Mischief is a book about a girl named Leo. Her family owns a bakery. They bake everything with love and sugar. Leo’s parents are hiding secrets from Leo all of a sudden. A new bakery called Honeybees has opened. There was never competition in the town, but now…there is. And to make matters worse, Leo meets her Abuelo Logroño, who promises to teach her about magic and train her.

Leo gets to the bottom of what is going on and finds out that her family might be moving. Digging deep and finding information about Honeybees, she tries to connect the dots and figure out how and why the owner of Honeybees suddenly decided to start a bakery in the town. The precious heirlooms at the bakery have also been stolen, creating more suspects for Leo. Figuring out who’s behind this won’t be easy.

This is a great book! I recommend it for ages 9-12 and for fans who like fantasy and magical stories. It’s a bit scary, but not too much that it’s SUPER bone-rattling. The best part is the recipes at the back of the book that you can make with help from parents. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and read the book!
