“If I Woke Up With Wings” Story Written by Kruti!!!

“Buzz!” My alarm wakes me up. I turn it off and get out of bed. I make my bed and look at myself in the mirror. I notice that I have wings. I think it is a hallucination or something else. Like a dream. So I pinch myself.

And does it hurt? Answer: Yes. Does that answer any questions? Answer: Yes. One, I’m not dreaming, and two, it’s proof that pinching yourself to see if you’re awake or not is true. If I do have wings that means that I can fly.

My wings look pretty beautiful! They are blue-which is my favorite color! How’d they know?-and it looked sorta mystical. Mystical…mystical…mystical…mystical…mystical…mystical…mysticalOkay, I should stop now. That’s getting kind of boring anyway. I decide that maybe I should wear my unicorn headband since I would probably look more adorable and cute. Right?

I mean, I’m pretty sure I’m cute already, but I would be and look cuter if I had an unicorn headband. Righttt?? Wink. I find my unicorn headband and put it on my head. Luckily (or not), it’s summer break, so no school today! That means no noise or any interruptions at school.

I fly downstairs and crash into the living room sofa. Ouch. I get up and walk into the kitchen, seeing Mom making pancakes. Nobody really reacts to my wings. I guess they think the wings are part of my outfit. Doesn’t make MUCH sense, but okay. I’ll play along.

“How did you sleep? By the way, I LOVE your new unicorn look!!!” Mom asks. Oh, so they DO think my wings are fake. “I slept great, thanks!” I lie. To be honest, I didn’t really. I had this dream about me getting wings from this fairy…oh, I guess that’s where I got my wings from.

Well, who cares anyway? I have them right now, so why not use them? Wait, not right now. But after breakfast. I eat my breakfast, get ready, and go outside. I start to flap my wings and travel to one of my friend’s houses. I have an idea to pull a prank on my other friend.

I knock on my friend’s door. “Hi!” I say once my friend appears and opens the door. I walk in. “Hi!” My friend pets her dog. “So, why’d you come over? I love your outfit, BTW!!”

“Oh, this isn’t an outfit!” I explain. “I woke up with wings this morning.” “Wow!!! That’s super awesome! Whatcha gonna do with them now that you have them?” Mackenzie, my friend, says. “Actually, I had an idea. We’re gonna prank Rosie!” I squeal.

“Cool!!” Mackenzie pauses. “But how?” “Oh, just a few simple pranks, is all. First, I’ll fly over her and pour some water on her. Next, I’ll touch her on the shoulder and fly away immediately. And lastly, the big GRAND prank, I’ll-you know, just pranks is good enough,” I explain.

“You couldn’t come up with another prank, could you.”

“Mmm…no,” I say. “Anyways, les gooo!” I grab Mackenzie’s hand, and we soar into the sky. I fly to Rosie’s house. Just in case you know, Rosie’s my enemy. She wouldn’t even know what hit her!! Rosie walks outside. I grab a bucket of water from somewhere on the ground-I don’t know where-and throw the water over Rosie’s head.

Rosie is soaking. I quickly hide. “Who did that?!” she asks. Nevertheless, she continues walking outside. I wait for the right moment to tap her shoulder. I fly in and….TAP!! I immediately fly back to my hiding spot. “Argh,” Rosie grumbles. She goes inside. “Well.” Mackenzie comes. “I saw how it went. Do you think that would be enough?” “Yeah! I mean, she’s my enemy, but I wouldn’t want to hurt her, like, REALLY badly enough to get me in trouble.” I say.

Why is Rosie my enemy? She embarrassed me at school and hates me for no reason-okay, maybe because I get good grades.

“Anyways, let’s go back to my house. I want to play some games with you, if that’s okay with you!” I say. “Sure! I’ll just let my parents know.” Mackenzie calls her parents, explaining that she’ll be at my house. “Come on, let’s go!” I say. We run to my house, and I open the door. We get out different devices and start playing Roblox and Among Us. After hours of watching TV, reading, playing games, talking, and eating, it’s time to go to bed. “Well, I’ve gotta go! Nice to be with ya today!” Mackenzie says.

“Nice being with you too! Bye!” I say. Mackenzie walks out of the house. I get ready for bed and cover myself with my sheets. Today was a great day! I mean, who wouldn’t want to have wings?!
