Do you like graphic novels? Do you like superheroes? Do you like fiction? Then this is the right book for you!
“Green Lantern Legacy: A Graphic Novel” is a graphic novel. It’s about a 13-year-old named Tai Pham, who lives in an apartment above his grandmother’s store. It’s been in his generation, but a jade ring has also. This jade ring is old, yet seems unimportant other than in family standards. However, it gives power to this 13-year-old when his grandmother dies. Now Tai is the next one chosen to be Green Lantern.
In the meantime, the teenager goes to school and has two best friends: Tommy and Serena. They are supposed to do a project and are doing research on Xander Griffin, a famous and rich billionaire. They visit him once and give him an interview. However, Serena gets a bit suspicious about Xander’s speech after Tai tells about his ring to his friends.
She says that it was a bit weird, but Tai says that it was awesome. Tai flies onto a random balcony and gets an idea to use his ring to throw bricks onto the bullies that bully him and his friends. Xander recognizes him and talks to him quickly. After that, another time, Serena and Tommy come to Tai’s room and apologize for yelling at him. Tai, Serena, and Tommy have another fight once they discuss whether to trust Xander or not. Tai leaves the room and goes outside to Xander. And then, something unexpected happens.
If you want to find out what happens next, I suggest you read the book! I would rate this book five stars for its amazing attention to details in the drawings as well as a great cultural story. I would recommend this book to people who like graphic novels, fiction, and superheroes. Next time you go to Barnes and Nobles, you should try this book out!
