Gajar Halwa
Gajar Halwa is a rich and decadent Indian dessert made with grated carrots and milk. Condensed milk or sugar, flavored with cardamom powder and adorned with mixed nuts. Carrots are called gajar in Hindi, and halwa refers to pudding, so Gajar Halwa translates to Carrot Pudding. Carrots are the star ingredient in this dessert. I have tweaked the recipe a bit by adding homemade khoya. It enhanced the taste of the Gajar Halwa to the next level: SCRUMPTIOUS!!! I hope you get to enjoy Gajar Halwa warmly at your home. Make it today, and do try this recipe in your kitchen.
