Dry Gulab Jamuns are sweet, juicy, and mouthwatering mithai made of ready-made gulab jamun mix to make dry gulab jamun. I was a novice at cooking Gulab Jamun, so try this recipe multiple times until you get it right. This is an easy-going dessert for festivals, parties, get together, and potlucks. I have rolled them to dry coconut and cardamom powder to give a unique twist to this recipe. Adding extra cardamom powder enhances its flavor and linger the taste in the mouth. Tips: make sure to deep-fry Gulab Jamun on a medium flame till dark golden brown.

Ingredients

  • for the jamuns
  • 2 cups gulab jamun mix
  • ¼ cup milk or water
  • sunflower oil for deep frying jamuns
  • for the sugar syrup
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp organic cardamom powder
  • 12 cardamom pods
  • other ingredients
  • ½ cup dry grated coconut
  • 1 tbsp organic cardamom powder
