  • 4 cups gram flour
  • ½ cup urad dal flour
  • ½ cup fine rava
  • 3 tsp limbu na phool
  • 6 tsp sugar
  • 4 tsp salt
  • 6 tsp ENO
  • Making khaman dhokla from a premix
  • 1½ cup dhokla premix
  • 2 tsp sunflower oil
  • pinch of turmeric powder
  • ¾ cup water or as needed
  • For dhokla tempering
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 4 green chilies chopped
  • 8 curry leaves
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • chopped cilantro for garnishing

Notes: Add more or less ingredients to tweak the homemade Khaman Dhokla recipe to your taste.  Take some flour mixture into the jar, add 3 tsp limbu na phool, 6 tsp sugar, and 4 tsp salt, and grind it.  Then, add the mixture to the premix flour.  Lastly, add 6 tsp of ENO and mix well.  Steam the batter on high flame for 15 minutes.
