- pinch of turmeric powder
- ¾ cup water or as needed
- For dhokla tempering
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 4 green chilies chopped
- 8 curry leaves
- ½ cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- chopped cilantro for garnishing

Notes: Add more or less ingredients to tweak the homemade Khaman Dhokla recipe to your taste.
