Motichoor Ladoo

Motichoor Ladoo – is one of the most popular Indian desserts and a quintessential sweet offered to Gods and Goddesses as prasad during Indian festivals. It is prepared with besan flour. It’s one of my absolute favorite Indian sweets. Motichoor Ladoo is prepared with a special jhara. Please note that add about 1 cup of sliced almonds before shaping the laddoos.

Ingredients

  • for batter
  • 1 1/2 cup gram flour
  • few strands of saffron crushed
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tbsp ghee
  • a pinch salt
  • for sugar syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • sunflower oil for frying boondi
