My parents were married in India on February 14, 2004. They look so beautiful in their Indian wedding clothes. My mom had an elegant Indian henna design on her hands and feet. Mehndi is consider an important part of Indian weddings. She was wearing fashionable Indian jewelry, too. My dad was wearing a fascinating Indian pagri (turban). He was also wearing snow-white Indian clothes. My mom and dad were wearing fresh, pretty flower garlands. Indian women usually wear saree during their wedding ceremony as a part of Gujarati wedding. My parents were wearing red and white because it’s part of an Indian wedding tradition. The color red is symbolize to be an auspicious color during wedding ceremony.
The wedding lasted for three days. There were several relatives at my parents’ wedding ceremony. Singing and dancing was also part of the wedding celebration. Hope you enjoyed their wedding pictures as I did.
These wonderful pictures created an awesome memory for me. In the future, I will carry this tradition forward from my parents.
