Ingredients to make apple turnovers are 2 diced granny smith apples peeled and cored, 2 TBSP Turbinado sugar, 1 to 2 TBSP water, 1 thawed puff pastry sheet, 1 TSP cinnamon powder, and 1/2 TSP nutmeg powder.
Apple turnovers are delicious dessert or a perfect treat for breakfast made with apples, sugar, puff pastry, and cinnamon powder. They are wrapped in puff pastry with apple cinnamon filling. Puff pastry are flakey, crispy from outside and soft inside. Apple turnovers can be served as a dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream during Christmas or Thanksgiving holidays.
