Baking Cookies With Mrs. Claus Story Written by Kruti!!!

Guess what? I baked cookies with Mrs. Claus!

I was walking on the sidewalk, when I came across a gingerbread house. No, not the tiny ones for decoration! It was a large gingerbread house with gumdrops among the pathway and white icing on the roof!

I knocked on the delectable door. I wanted to taste it, but I didn’t because the house’s owner wouldn’t like to have a bite mark on his door, now would he/she? A white-haired woman with glasses, a red dress, and brown boots opened the door.

I realized that the lady was Mrs. Claus. Her dress, glasses, and boots gave her away. “Hello, child! It’s good to see you!” Mrs. Claus said in a kind voice. “Come inside, child, come!” I took off my snow boots and walked inside the gingerbread house.

It looked amazing on the inside! There were peppermint chairs, gingerbread beds and tables, and plants made of marshmallows (which I thought was unbelievable.).

“Mrs. Claus, your house looks so…wonderful!” I exclaimed. It didn’t make sense why she came to New Jersey, though. Did she want to give me extra presents this year? Ooh!

“Why are you here in New Jersey, Mrs. Claus? Aren’t you supposed to be in the North Pole with Santa Claus?” I asked curiously. “Oh dear girl, every year, I choose a child to bake cookies with me for Santa Claus. This year, it’s your turn!” Mrs. Claus replied.

……….

Mrs. Claus and I started making the dough in the kitchen. It was some messy work! We mixed flour, sugar, eggs, milk, chocolate chips, salt, and butter. We rolled the dough, and Mrs. Claus scooped balls of dough on the greased pan with parchment paper. She placed the pan in the oven and heated the oven to 375 degrees. It suddenly became hot in a matter of seconds! The cookies were baked in a few minutes, and Mrs. Claus placed them on a cooling rack.

While the cookies were cooling, we made the icing. Once the cookies cooled, we frosted them, and Mrs. Claus gave me some cookies in a special bag when we were done. Mrs. Claus said, “Thank you for helping me make these cookies! Before you go, tell me, what’s your name?” “I’m Kruti!” I replied. “Thank you for helping me bake these cookies, Kruti!” she said, and I wore my snow boots outside and rushed home.

………..

“Thank you for the cookies!” my mom and dad said as I passed some to them. I devoured my share in my room, washed my hands, and read a book while relaxing on my bed. I had a great time baking cookies with Mrs. Claus! Maybe, one day, Mrs. Claus might choose you!
