The World According to Humphrey is about a cute hamster named Humphrey, who was originally waiting for a pet owner at the pet store Pet-O-Rama. Finally, after what seemed like forever, Ms. Mac, a teacher, bought Humphrey, and soon, the little hamster became the favorite classroom pet (even though he was the only class pet!) Humphrey thinks Ms. Mac is NICE-NICE-NICE until one day, when she abandons him to Brazil. A new teacher can be scary, especially if it’s someone who’s unsqueakably mean. However, the new teacher, whose name is Mrs. Brisbane, could probably get used to Humphrey, even though she doesn’t take him home at all! Could the two of them get adjusted to each other because they might be having to spend the rest of their lives together! Humphrey wouldn’t think of that as FUN-FUN-FUN! 

This book was written by the author Betty G. Birney. This book is the first one out of the whole series. I think that when you look on the cover, it convinces you to read the book. How can anyone resist Humphrey’s utterly adorable face??? And I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE how he’s peeking out from a hole in a notebook page! It’s really amusing to readers, especially those who like cute hamsters. In conclusion, I recommend this book to all people because it’s FUNNY-FUNNY-FUNNY and enjoyable to read! I suggest that you scribble the name of this book on your reading list quickly, even if it comes out crude!
