Delectable Methi Na Gota Made by Jaimi!!!

Ingredients to make methi na gota are 1 cup gram flour, 3 TBSP semolina, 1 chopped green chilli, 1 TSP salt, pinch of red chilli powder, 1 TSP turmeric powder, 1 TBSP coconut sugar, 2 cups finely chopped methi leaves, 1 cup chopped cilantro leaves, 2 TBSP lime juice, water as needed, 1/2 TSP ENO, and sunflower oil for deep frying.

Instructions

  1. In a deep frying pot, heat up oil for deep frying.
  2. In a large bowl, add methi, cilantro, green chilli, gram flour, semolina, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and sugar.  Mix it well until all well combined.
  3. Add ENO, lime juice, and salt to the mixture.  Mix all the ingredients well until a lump free thick batter.
  4. Drop the batter into the oil forming small balls with the help of a ice cream scoop.
  5. Stir methi na gota occasionally to make sure they are cooked completely in a low to medium heat.
  6. Fry methi na gota until they are golden brown and crisp from outside.
  7. Remove them and drain excess oil on the paper towel.
  8. Enjoy methi na gota with green chutney.

Note:  Add spices according to your taste.
