First up is the pygmy possum. The pygmy possum is a small and adorable animal about the size of your thumb. About only 113 have been found by scientists on Kangaroo Island. There was a bushfire that killed about 90% of everything on the land, so they were worried about the fuzzy creatures. Luckily, conservationists found a tiny pygmy possum while digging in the land. Ecologist Di Pearson says that discovering a pygmy possum on the wrecked land has given them aspirations that the species might still be out there, somewhere….

Second is a dog who has a stuffed animal as a pal: a unicorn! Sisu the stray walked into a dollar store and saw a plush unicorn. He snatched it and tried to bring it outside. The employees prevented him from doing this, so the pup tried again. Animal Control was called since the pup wasn’t going to leave without the plushie. One of the officers bought the toy for Sisu, and the pup was taken to an adoption center. It’s an appealing and funny story.

The last amazing animals on the list are turtles and and a warthog. What do turtles have to do with warthogs? You’ll find out! Once, a warthog splashed into a muddy pit, and then some South African helmeted turtles swam over to take off parasites from the warthog’s hide. The turtles ate the organisms on the warthog, and the warthog even helped a turtle pick off a fly by going deeper into the water! It’s unwonted conduct, but hey, it’s just how nature does its job! This is called mutualism. It’s a relationship in which both organisms get benefited. For example, these two animals! The warthog gets groomed, and the turtles get a meal!

Ah, isn’t nature so extraordinary sometimes? Like I said before, it has its own ways sometimes. Hope you enjoyed learning about these amazing animals! Tell these entertaining stories to your friends and family!
